How Wise Sayings From Great Minds Can Help You Make Powerful Choices in Your Life
Can wisdom quotes affect your ability to live a successful life? Not entirely, but they can definitely have a positive impact on what you do.
What is wisdom?
According to the dictionary, wisdom is . . . (1) the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships (or insight) and (2) good sense (judgment).
So if you are willing to listen to wise sayings and then apply the messages in them, they can help you make good decisions in your life.
You can have a lot of potential, wonderful goals, a great deal of motivation, and the ability to persevere when you are trying to achieve something. However, if you don’t make wise decisions, then you might not end up where you want to be.
Wisdom is such an important aspect of living a successful life, that when God asked King Solomon what he wanted, the King’s answer was simple. He asked for wisdom.
“Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?"
2 Chronicles 1:10, New American Standard Version
King Solomon knew that unless he used wisdom in his decisions, he could not be successful as a leader. God not only gave him wisdom and knowledge, but He also rewarded him with a bounty of blessings.
God said to Solomon, "Because you had this in mind, and did not ask for riches, wealth or honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor have you even asked for long life, but you have asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may rule My people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed nor those who will come after you."
2 Chronicles 1:11 – 12, New American Standard Version
