The Universal Law of Attraction
What’s In Your Consciousness?
The Universal Law of Attraction says that whatever you think about, you bring about. It is one of life’s metaphysical laws.
If you would like to know what you are really thinking deep down inside of you, all you have to do is take a look around. Whatever you are experiencing in your life right now is a reflection of what is in your consciousness.
You may like this idea or you might not. If you are enjoying prosperity, wonderful relationships, health, a satisfying career, peace and harmony, then you are probably thrilled to know that it isn’t an accident. You have actually played a major role in having those good things show up in your life by thinking positive thoughts.
The secret Law of Attraction brought those wonderful experiences to you which are in alignment with the thoughts you were thinking.
But what about things that aren’t so wonderful? How about that challenging relationship or maybe the struggle with your finances? What about those aches or pains or the fact that your life isn’t going the way you really want it to? Have you contributed to that too? In a word – yes. Your mind is truly a magnet for your experiences.
Good or Bad – It Makes No Difference to the Law
As much as you might not like to acknowledge it, everything that shows up in your life – good and bad – is there because you have somehow attracted it to you. I don’t like to acknowledge this when the challenging things show up in my life either. But the Universal Law of Attraction is going to bring it into our lives whether we want to acknowledge it or not.
A while ago, I fractured my toe while I was doing yoga. Was that some freak accident? Some may say yes, but I know that is not the truth. The day before while I was walking, I envisioned a huge goal in great detail. When I say huge, for me it is very huge. It is also scary. So I set the intention to bring it into my experience by living it in my mind, as if it were already a reality. The next morning, not more than 14 hours after I had set the intention for this huge goal, my foot got stuck on my yoga mat and my toe became fractured. Many metaphysicians believe that problems with your feet represent an unconscious fear of moving forward.
I would much prefer to think that this ‘accident’ was some cruel twist of fate, but I know better. It represented my fear of going forward with such a big idea. The Universal Law of Attraction brought this ‘accident’ into my experience because the fear was lurking in the recesses of my subconscious. When it was brought to the light of day, it gave me an opportunity to go about changing my thinking.
So how do you work with the Universal Law of Attraction to bring more good things into your life?
The most important thing you can do is to discipline your thinking.
Begin to focus on the good things that you would like to experience. Train your brain to think positive thoughts. Can this be challenging? Yes. Is it possible for you to do it? That answer is also yes.
The Key to Training Your Thinking
When you find that your thoughts are straying in negative territory –- one of the ways that you know this is that you are worried – tell yourself to STOP IT!
Take a deep breath. Then ask yourself what you would rather have happen. This is usually something positive. Focus on those good ideas and tell yourself that you know they are coming into your life at the right time. You may have to do this over and over again until you can keep your thoughts focused on the positive ideas. But your efforts will be worth it because eventually you will likely experience the good you have been focusing on.
The Universal Law of Attraction works. It gets easier to use over time. Learn how to use it and make it work for you.
