Saying a gratitude prayer on a regular basis should be one of your top spiritual practices. Why? Because doing so can definitely help you attract more good into your life.
"A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts to itself great things." -Plato
Your thoughts are very powerful. Whatever you regularly focus on, you attract into your life. (I’m sure you’ve heard of the Cosmic Law of Attraction.) So when you make the decision to spend some time each day being grateful, you can actually pave the way for more good to flow to you.
I know it isn’t always easy to say a prayer of thanks. This is especially true when you are going through tough times. You are probably focusing on your problems and you might think you have nothing to be grateful for. But you can always find something in your life that is going well. And having an attitude of gratitude can be a way to help you get through your challenges.
Ron Roth teaches you how to make prayer a tremendous healing power in your life. To find out more about this, click the image below.

For What You Want – You can express gratitude when you set an intention for some new wonderful thing to come into your life. You are so sure that it is going to show up, that you give thanks for it now. This is a powerful demonstration of faith. And strong faith causes the Universal Law of Mind to take action.
While Meditating - During meditation, you can use a mantra such as “Thank you God, Thank you God” or “I am grateful for my good.” This helps flood your subconscious mind with the idea that you have lots to be grateful for. (And remember Plato’s statement about a grateful mind!)
It Trains Your Mind – The Cosmic Law of Attraction doesn’t know the difference between big or little. It only knows how to bring you what you think about. If you decide to be grateful only when you receive big things, you might be waiting a very long time. When you are consistently grateful for small things (in addition to big ones), you are training your mind to have an attitude of gratitude. This can help you attract bigger things into your life. (Of course, when you received these bigger things you are going to express thanks for them – right?)
To Know Spirit as Source – When you say a gratitude prayer on a regular basis, it helps you to recognize that all of your good comes from Spirit, not from the outside world. So if one channel of good closes, you know that Spirit can bring your good to you from some other channel.
Affirmative prayer – At times you might want to say a more detailed prayer of gratitude. This can help you understand intellectually and emotionally where your good comes from.
