“The abundance of the Universe is unlimited. I accept my share now.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I know that as I release money with love, even more comes back to me.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I follow the guidance of Divine Wisdom as to the perfect way to use money.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I am debt free.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I have more than enough money to do everything I desire to do, with an abundance left over.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I easily pay all of my bills in full and on time.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“As I accept greater abundance into my life, I become a model of possibility to others.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I thoroughly enjoy my abundance.”&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
“I am grateful for my good.”&lt;/dir&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
Saying these prosperity affirmations once or twice will probably not affect your thinking very much. However, as you work with them on a regular basis, you might begin to notice that your thoughts about prosperity become more positive.

And as you have more positive thoughts about prosperity, you may see more of it showing up in your life.

Several students were concerned that the challenging economic times that we are going through could impact their experience of prosperity.

One of the passages in &lt;i&gt;Ask and It Shall Be Given&lt;/i&gt; by Esther and Jerry Hicks, addresses this concern. 
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;dir&gt;”. . .once you learn about the &lt;i&gt;Law of Attraction&lt;/i&gt;, and once you are aware of the way your thoughts feel, you will never again feel fear about unwanted things jumping into your experience. You will understand that nothing can jump into your experience without your invitation.”&lt;/dir&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
If you look at what is going on in the world and it causes you to feel fear and angst, you are actually inviting limitation into your life.  However, if you look at the world and you begin to feel fear, you can intentionally choose to feel another more positive emotion instead.

Instead of fear, you can choose to feel that peace flows through every aspect of your life. Or you can choose to feel harmony exists in everything you do. Or you can choose to feel any other positive feeling.  

The bottom line is that you have control over what emotions you choose to feel. If you don’t like what you are feeling at the moment, begin to accept a more empowering feeling.  It might not be easy to do, but you &lt;b&gt;can do it&lt;/b&gt;.

If you are feeling any positive emotion, you don’t need to worry about any negativity that exists in the world. Your positive feelings will be standing guard at the door of your experience and they will not let the negativity in.  When you experience positive emotions, you are inviting more good into your life.

&lt;b&gt;Your thoughts/emotions = your experiences.&lt;/b&gt; This is a Universal equation and it affects everyone equally.

Choose empowering thoughts and feelings, and you will be surprised and delighted by how many wonderful things appear in your life.

    <title>Who will you become in 2012?</title>

    <description>&lt;p&gt;At the end of each year at our spiritual center, we have a Burning Bowl ceremony and we write a Letter to Ourselves. It is a way for each of us to release those things that we don’t wish to carry into the new year. It is also a way for each of us to choose what we want to experience in the upcoming year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You don’t need to be part of a spiritual community in order to perform this ritual. You can do it yourself. Here’s how. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Burning Bowl&lt;/b&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Write down everything you don’t want to be part of your life in 2012. The list can be as long as you like. Include anything you can think of which is limiting you in some way.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Then you release the list. If you are doing this at home, I would suggest that instead of actually burning your paper, you tear it into tiny pieces. Another thing you can do is to shred it. This action is a very definite indication to your subconscious mind that you are no longer going to allow these things to be part of your life.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;BR&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Letter to Yourself&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;p&gt;With this activity, you write down, all of the things that you wish to experience in the new year. The format you would use is &quot;I, (insert your name), am now the consciousness of . . .&quot;  and then you write down your list.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You could say that you are the consciousness of having financial prosperity, wonderful relationships, experiencing health and wellness, among other things. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Then you put the paper into an envelope, seal it, and say a healing prayer over it each day. At the end of 2012, open it and see what you have demonstrated. You might not have all of it, but you will probably have some of it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
We usually end the ceremony with a New Year’s Day Prayer. Here is one you can use for yourself. 
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;dir&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;B&gt;My New Year’s Prayer&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/b&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;i&gt;There is only one Life. This Life is God. This Life is good. This life is my life now. God is unlimited abundance, joy, peace, prosperity, wholeness, love, power, and good. God is the Truth of my being. Since God’s limitless blessings are available for me, I new accept that I am receiving more good in my life than ever before. I now experience success in all my endeavors, I experience peace and harmony in my relationships, I have more abundance and prosperity flowing into my life from known and unexpected sources. My life is now filled with more joy and good than I could possibly have imagined. Limitless blessings flow into my life easily, effortlessly, and harmoniously. My life is very good indeed. I am grateful for this good. I know that it is already done. And so it is.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/dir&gt;

    <title>The Jolly Holidays Might Not Be So Jolly</title>

    <description>This is the holiday season for many people. You can hear joyous holiday songs, see commercials where people receive wonderful gifts, and watch movies where everything seems to be perfect. There is a very high expectation that this is ‘the most wonderful time of the year.’

But for many people, this season is anything but happy. It can be a time filled with stress, loneliness, frustration, and friction between family members.

As a child, I dreaded this holiday season. I knew there would be disappointment, conflict, and an overall feeling of ‘I can’t wait for it to be over.’ (I am still not particularly thrilled with this season, but I have learned to muddle my way through it.)

If you are one of those people for whom the holidays are not wonderful, I have some ideas that might make it a little easier for you to get through them.
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt; If you are feeling sad because you are unable to be with loved ones, try Skyping so you can see them. If that isn’t possible, then call so you can hear their voices. If neither one of these options is available to you, then look at some pictures of happy times when you were together with them.    &lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;LI&gt; Lower your expectations. Don’t expect yourself to feel happy and delighted with the holidays. You can consider them just one of the many days in your life.
&lt;BR&gt;   &lt;BR&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If you are going to be with family and you know there will be conflict, get yourself into the right mindset before you are actually with them. Say a prayer for peace of mind for yourself. Then when your family acts the way they do, it might not bother you so much.
&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If you are going to be alone for the holidays, do something special for yourself. Get a great novel and enjoy reading it. Rent a movie that you’ve wanted to see and make it special by having some yummy (and at least somewhat healthy) snacks to eat while you watch it.
&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Since the true purpose of this holiday season is spiritual, spend some time in spiritual refection.
&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Realize that before you know it, it will be over, and you can go back to your regular life.  
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
If the holidays are the time of the year that you always look forward to, then I hope you enjoy them completely.

If the holidays are a time of the year that can cause you to feel down, then try some of these tips. Hopefully, they will make this season a little more pleasant for you.

    <title>The Law of Cause and Effect – It Never Takes a Vacation</title>

    <description>The Law of Cause and Effect (also known as the Law of Karma), is one of the major Universal Laws. While you might be somewhat familiar with this law, you might not realize a very important aspect of it.

&lt;b&gt;It never takes a vacation.  &lt;/b&gt;

What do I mean by that? What I mean is that the Law of Cause and Effect is always paying attention to what you do -- 24/7.  

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, &lt;i&gt;What goes around, comes around. &lt;/i&gt; This summarizes the Law in a nutshell.   

Whatever you give out to others is what you will some day receive. It might not necessarily come back to you from that same person, but it will definitely come back to you from someone.

Let me give you a specific example.

Today, I went to a store to buy a Christmas gift for a friend. I gave the cashier money and he gave me my change. I began to put the money in my wallet but something did not feel right. So I checked the receipt and the change I had received. I realized that the cashier had given me a dollar more than he should have.

Some people might say that I should have just kept the money. However, not only does this go against my personal morals, it will also activate the Law of Cause and Effect in a way that I don’t want to experience.

If I kept the extra money which I knew did not belong to me, I would be taking something that wasn’t mine. I wouldn’t have experienced any negative repercussions from the cashier or the store --- however –- I most certainly would have experienced some type of negative situation as a result of my action.

Remember, the Law is always paying attention. If I take something that &lt;b&gt;doesn’t belong to me&lt;/b&gt;, then the law will make sure that someone takes something that &lt;b&gt;does belong to me. &lt;/b&gt;

There is no getting around this. Eventually, what you give is what you get. 

So if you ever get into a situation where you are not sure what the right thing is for you to do, ask yourself – “Do I want this to come back to me some day?” If the answer is, “No,” then don’t do it. You’ll be very happy with the result.

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Create a Budget&lt;/b&gt; - It is very easy to spend more than you intend. There are so many great sales, there is always one more thing you can add to your list, there is always one more person to buy for.  

STOP! Create a budget of what you want to spend during the holidays and then stick to it. One of the greatest stressors after the holidays is to realize that you have incurred a lot of unplanned debt.  Know what you want to spend and stick to it.

&lt;LI&gt;&lt;b&gt;Pace Yourself&lt;/b&gt; - It is very easy to get into a frenzy with all of the things that you need to get done. Try not to do too much at any one time and pace yourself. Go to stores when they are less likely to be crowded.  Wrap a few gifts at a time instead of waiting until the last minute to get it all done. Prepare some meals ahead of time and put them the freezer to be used later.

If you pace yourself, it will be much easier to do what you need to do without feeling totally frazzled.

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt; Be Selective&lt;/b&gt; - You might have many invitations to participate in various holiday activities. Just because you are invited to something, it does not mean that you are required to attend.  Only attend those activities that are really important to you. 

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Do not go Overboard &lt;/b&gt; - You do not need to go overboard with decorations or food. Choose a few decorations that you really like and put them in your home. If you want to try some new recipes, choose one or two of them, and then make dishes that you are comfortable with and you know will taste great.

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Make Time to be With Family and Friends&lt;/b&gt; - Spend time with people you really care about. It does not have to be something fancy. A quiet get together can really make the holidays special for you.

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Take Time for Spiritual Practices &lt;/b&gt; - When you are going through such a frenzied time as the holidays, it is very important that you continue with your spiritual practices. You probably need them now more than ever. Spend time in meditation, prayer, and reading inspirational works. They will help you feel a sense of peace.
&lt;/ul&gt;
The real purpose of the holiday season is to reconnect with your spiritual nature and to express and receive love. Remember this as you do all that you need to do.

&lt;p&gt;Many people say Thanksgiving Day prayers.  This often takes the form of a blessing over the meal they are about to enjoy.  Some people, when they are seated at the table, say a thanksgiving prayer during which they share the things they appreciate and are grateful for.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I think thanksgiving prayers are a wonderful spiritual practice.  And they should not just be offered once a year on Thanksgiving Day. Very often people run around in their lives, focused on doing their daily and weekly activities. They get so caught up in what they are doing, or they need to do and aren’t doing, that they never take the time to just ‘BE.’  They don’t take the time to get quiet and just reflect over their lives.  Many of them never say a prayer of thanksgiving and gratitude for all of the blessings they enjoy and might be taking for granted.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Gratitude is a very important spiritual practice.  It redirects your mind from what you may not have (but want), to what you already have (but may not pay as much attention to). It helps you focus on the good that you already have. Not only does having an attitude of gratitude help you feel better about your life, it also helps you attract more blessings into your life.  Whatever you focus on, you get more of.&lt;/p&gt;  

&lt;p&gt;Gratitude is a practice that you should do every day of the year – not just on one special day.  The following is one of my favorite Thanksgiving Day prayers.  You can use it on ‘Turkey Day’ or any other day. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;BR&gt; 


&lt;P&gt;&lt;dir&gt;&lt;I&gt;There is only one life and that is the life of God.  God is infinite goodness, perfect love, and never ending prosperity.  God has provided an endless bounty of good for each and every one of Its creations. God has provided an infinite bounty of good for me.  I now accept that it is God’s desire that I enjoy the blessings that have already been set aside for me.  I am grateful for the good that I currently experience in my life and I am willing to accept even more. I recognize that by accepting my good, I can never limit the good that is also available for everyone else. Therefore, I receive my good with an open and grateful heart.  I am grateful for the goodness of God.  I am grateful for the blessings that God has provided for me.  And I am grateful for even more blessings that are now on their way to me. It is done.  It is so.  And so it is.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/dir&gt;   &lt;/p&gt;

    <description>&lt;p&gt;Many people have a tendency to think negative thoughts –- if not all of the time, at least some of the time. The big problem with this is that negative thoughts, especially those that are held on a long-term basis, have a strong possibility of creating negative results in your life.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of the best ways to counter the onslaught of negative thinking is to use positive words of affirmation. They can help train your brain to overcome negative thought patterns. This will probably not happen overnight, but when you consistently use powerful affirmations, it becomes easier to think more positively overall.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Regular positive thinking can result in more positive results in your life.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You can use what I call ‘general positive words of affirmation’ (“I deserve to experience good things in life”) or specific ones (“I am now in a wonderful job.”).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I would like to offer you some general affirmations which I think can have a major impact on your life.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;dir&gt;&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;”I am a beloved and treasured child of the Divine.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;li&gt;”Who I am becoming is more important than what I am doing right now.”  &lt;br&gt;
&lt;li&gt;”I deserve and accept lavish abundance flowing into my life.” 
&lt;li&gt;”The Universe supports me fully in accomplishing all of my goals.”
&lt;li&gt;”I am respected, valued, and appreciated for my unique creative gifts.”
&lt;li&gt;”I have the ability to co-create my experiences.”
&lt;li&gt;”I am successful in everything that is important to me.”
&lt;li&gt;”I am not a victim to any condition or circumstance. I am in charge of my life.”
&lt;li&gt;”I am a valuable part of life and I am willing to accept infinite blessings.”
&lt;li&gt;”I am loving and I am surrounded with positive and supportive people.”
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can say each of these affirmations every day, or you can choose to work with one of them at a time. Just make sure that you really feel the words that you are saying.&lt;/p&gt;

Whether employees are working longer hours, getting less sleep, doing two or three jobs instead of one, finding it difficult to balance home life responsibilities with work, one thing is certain – many workers are stressed to the max!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have been conducting stress management training workshops for organizations for many years. I have personally seen what stress can do to employees. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Recently, I was facilitating a two-part stress management program for a manufacturing organization. Joe, one of the participants, wanted desperately to gain control of his stress before it impacted his health. During the first class, Joe was constantly being called out of the class in order to handle problems at the plant. He was looking forward to learning stress management tips that he could use – and he was especially waiting for the guided relaxation section of the program. &lt;/p&gt; 

&lt;p&gt;Joe never got to learn those stress reducers and he also missed the relaxation activity. When I returned to the organization to complete the program, I found out that Joe had suffered a heart attack in between classes. Thank God he was going to be fine. However, this is a perfect example of what uncontrolled workplace stress can do to you – it can wreak havoc on your health.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Since your job related stress is not likely to get better any time soon, you need to incorporate some simple ideas into your daily routine so you can get hold of stress before it takes control of you!&lt;/p&gt;

Yesterday in New York City was Marathon Sunday. More than 40,000 people had various goals for the marathon. Some had a goal of just completing the marathon, others wanted to finish it within a certain time frame, some people wanted to achieve their personal best, and a few people had a goal of actually winning the marathon.

Regardless of the goal that each runner had set, they all spent moths and months preparing to run the marathon. They consistently worked on achieving their goal.

When you set a goal, you might feel frustrated because it seems like you are never going to achieve it.  This is especially true if it’s a big goal which requires that you take a lot of action before you reach success.

Accomplishing a big goal is more like a marathon than a sprint. With a sprint, you engage in a quick burst of activity, you give it all you’ve got, and then you’re done. However, goals are more like marathons. You need to:

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;have a plan of action
&lt;LI&gt;consistently work your plan
&lt;li&gt;continually motivate yourself even when you feel like quitting
&lt;li&gt;focus on the end result
&lt;li&gt;keep moving forward until you reach your goal.
&lt;/ul&gt;

Completing a marathon is not very easy and most people would never even attempt it. (I’m a runner but there is no way that I would even consider running in a marathon.) Setting and achieving goals is also not easy and most people won’t attempt that either.

What about you? Are you willing to set goals and do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to achieve them? If you are willing to do this, you can have a life that is filled with a sense of success, joy, and accomplishment.

As a spiritual being, you were meant to achieve your goals – big ones and small ones. And you are not working on them by yourself. The entire Universe is supporting you on your journey.

I encourage you to say yes to ‘running’ in your personal goal marathon. You might ‘hit the wall’ like many marathon runners do, but you can get through it until you get to the finish line. 

Go for your goal.  You’ll be glad you did.

    <description>&lt;p&gt;When I am faced with overcoming adversity and challenges, one of the first places I turn to are the inspirational prayers and sayings by Mary Kupferle, a retired minister from the Unity School of Christianity.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are times in my life when things are so difficult, I don’t even have the emotional strength to pray. During those times, when I feel like I am at the end of my rope, the words of Mary Kupferle are like a healing salve to my hurting spirit.

&lt;p&gt;Here are two of my favorites passages --

God created this abundance so that each of us can enjoy the opulence and blessings that the universe contains.  This includes money.  Money is a form of God’s energy in action.  You actually honor Spirit by enjoying money and sharing it with others.  &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/dir&gt;

    <title>God vs Satan</title>

    <description>Many people in the world believe that there is a battle raging between God vs Satan. They believe that whoever wins this battle will take their soul for all eternity.

While I respect someone’s right to believe this, I don’t understand it. When you think about the attributes of God, one of them is that God is Omnipresent. Another one of the attributes of God, is that He is all powerful. 

So if God is present everywhere and He is all powerful, how does that leave room for Satan? If Satan exists, then that means there is a place in the universe where God doesn’t. This isn’t possible because ‘there is not a spot where God is not.’

Also, if God has to fight with Satan over your soul, then it means that God is not all powerful. This also isn’t possible – God is the only power that exists.  

I think many people believe that when something bad happens to them, Satan is involved. I don’t believe this is true. If something bad happens to you, it isn’t because Satan is trying to exert power over you. It happens because you have false beliefs about God.  

On some level, you are not sure that God is a God of love.  On some level, you might believe that God doesn’t really want you to have all the good things you desire. Nothing could be further from the Truth!

God is a God of love -- complete, total, and unconditional. And God only wants for you the things that you want. However -- and this is a BIG however – God can only give these things to you if you believe that it is possible, and if you believe that you deserve it.

So what is really going on is not a battle between God vs Satan. It is really a need for you to clean out your own thoughts of lack and limitation. Your thoughts have power over the course of your life -- not Satan.

Think thoughts of God as love. Develop the idea that you deserve to experience the blessings that God has already prepared for you. When you do that, you will not think about the concept of Satan ever again.

    <title>Lessons From September 11</title>

    <description>I live in New Jersey. Yesterday, many services were held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the day which changed the lives of so many of us who live in the United States. The services were meant to honor the memories of those individuals who were lost, and also to remind us that we need to remain vigilant in order to protect ourselves from those who want to harm us. 


While that is an important lesson, I would like to offer a different idea that we all should learn as a result of September 11, 2001. 


In our extremely busy lives, it is so easy to focus on the things that need to get done -- the schedules that we need to maintain, the tasks that we need to complete, the work that we need to finish.


But on September 11, 2001, it didn’t matter what schedules were set, or what tasks were on the to-do list, or what work remained undone. One thing trumped everything --- people.


On that day, the only thing that mattered was people -- helping people, rescuing people, comforting people, trying to locate loved ones, and grieving over loved ones who were lost forever.


I’m sure you are extremely busy. You will probably never have enough hours in your day to get everything done. While you are focusing on what you need to accomplish, I would like to ask you a question – are you also thinking about the people who are important in your life?


Do you set aside time to spend with those special people in your life? Do you often tell these loved ones how much they mean to you? Are you willing to rearrange your schedule in order to help someone you care about? Are you willing to stop doing what you are doing to really ‘listen’ to a loved one?


I’m not trying to lecture you. I know how easy it is to be fixated on trying to get things done. But I also know how important it is for you to make the people you care about a priority in your life too. 


Life can change in an instant. Don’t live with regrets. At the end of the day, it isn’t so much what you’ve accomplished, but the people you love and who love you, that really matters.


And to me, this is the REAL lesson of September 11.

    <title>Unity Prayer</title>

    <description>I often speak at a Unity center, which is part of the New Thought Church community. One of the practices which I thoroughly enjoy is how most centers end their service. They usually end with a Unity Prayer.
The prayer which is most often recited is The Prayer for Protection by Unity School of Christianity   poet laureate James Dillet Freeman. The prayer is listed below:

&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;dir&gt;&lt;i&gt;The light of God surrounds me;
The love of God enfolds me;
The power of God protects me;
The presence of God watches over me.
Wherever I am, God is;
And wherever God is;
All is well.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/dir&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;
Many times as you go through life, you are met with challenges and obstacles. During these times, it can be very easy for you to think that you have to handle these difficult situations by yourself. You might believe this, but it isn’t the Truth. The Truth is that God is with you in every aspect of your life. 

If you find that you are fearful or you are worried about something, take time to read the words of this Unity prayer. Let their meaning sink down into your soul.

You will find that you experience a deep sense of peace because you know that you are not alone. God is right where you are, loving you, guiding you, and protecting you.

And when you know that God is with you, what can you possibly be worried about?
